Costs of Counseling
Services Available to Clients
Regardless of Financial Circumstances
The costs for providing counseling
services are similar to those of any other mental health agency in the
community. Required facilities, professional staff, and administrative
support generate costs comparable to those of other counseling centers.
The Fayetteville Family Life Center
is committed to providing counseling to all who need the services. Those
who have the means to do so are expected to cover the cost. Fees for those
who cannot afford the cost of the services will be adjusted according to
their income. As a nonprofit organization the Center and its sponsors will
raise the funds necessary to make counseling available. No client will be
turned away from the Fayetteville Family Life Center because of money
matters.
Fees
Standard fees for counseling
are $95 -- $135 per hour depending on the credentials of the
counselor. The first session, which requires a more
complete assessment, is usually higher than the standard fee.
The standard fee applies to all
clients, but the cost to the client can vary according to the financial
circumstances of the client. The client's cost is determined by the
counselor and the client at the first session.
Insurance
Most insurance is honored. In some
instances a limited number of Fayetteville Family Life Center counselors are
on the panel for an insurance company, and for other insurance companies all
counselors can accept it. All counselors are Tricare providers. We also
provide services for many Employee Assistance Programs. When insurance is
accepted, the assigned amount for the service is also accepted.
Clients who plan to use insurance
are encouraged to call in advance and give the receptionist their insurance
information. We can then contact the insurance company and have details
about the coverage when the clients arrive.
Client Aid
When a client lacks the means to
pay the full cost of the counseling, Client Aid is available. The actual
cost of the counseling is determined by the client and the counselor in
light of the client's personal financial circumstances.
When a fee is set for $50 or less,
it is supplemented from the John Mackey Client Aid Fund up to $50 per
session. A cap of $500 per year exists for each client from the John Mackey
Client Aid Fund.
When a fee is set for more than $50
but less than the standard fee, client aid is provided in the form of
services paid for through the fund raising activity of the Fayetteville
Family Life Center.
Fee Changes
If there are changes in fees the
Fayetteville Family Life Center will make every effort to update the web site
information in a timely manner. It is possible that incorrect information
could occur when a fee changes because of oversight or technical delays in
posting the information. In such cases the actual fee will be the amount
set by the Center at the time a client is seen by a counselor.
